I am Safari.

Welcome to The Underground Safari.
In Swahili, Safari means “Journey.”
And every journey requires discernment. The sword in my hand is symbolic. It represents truth that cuts through confusion, wisdom that separates what belongs from what does not, and the courage to protect what is sacred while continuing forward. The Underground Safari is not about escaping life. It is about learning how to see it more clearly, and how to cut through the jungle of life with wisdom, courage, and discernment.
And this is a MUSICAL JOURNEY rooted in love, grounded in Biblical Torah principles, and inspired by the beauty of the Hebrew language.
Biblical Hebrew is part of my journey, too. I am still very much a beginning student, learning slowly, listening closely, and falling more in love with the beauty, rhythm, and meaning of the language as I go, as I grow... and glow!
Long before The Underground Safari, there was “the pen of Safari.”
I am a poet, spoken-word artist, a former stage-performer, songwriter, storyteller, teacher, and music producer. Writing is one of the gifts I carry with deep gratitude.
Every lyric and poetic song in this collection is written by me, Safari, also known as CALLMESAFARI.
Through music, spoken word, poetry, prayer, study, rhythm, and sound, I invite listeners to look beneath the surface and follow the deeper trail hidden within everyday life.
Some lessons are spoken plainly. Others are tucked inside stories, metaphors, melodies, Hebrew words, and moments waiting to be uncovered. Here, music is more than entertainment. It is an invitation to remember, question, discover, and grow.
